A 7-day check-in streak gives 50 credits a day, 100 on day 3 and 150 on day 7, and failed tasks refund their credits automatically.

Multiple credit sources, one clear consumption order.

• Sign-Up Bonus (one-time): 100 credits granted at registration, valid for 30 days after they are granted.
• Daily Check-in: Every account — Free or paid — checks in once per UTC day and gets 50 credits, 100 on day 3 and 150 on day 7 of a 7-day streak; missing a day starts the streak again from day 1. Check-in credits are valid for one day only and reset at 00:00 UTC.
• Subscription Credits: Paid subscription credits never expire and unused credits roll over, even after cancellation. Monthly and annual plans both grant credits each month; annual credits are not issued all at once. Turning off annual renewal does not stop monthly grants within the year you paid for. Refunds remove unused credits from the refunded payment. Credits already expired before this policy began are not restored.
• Top-Up Packs: Buy a credit pack any time for extra capacity. Purchased credits never expire and remain in your account even if you cancel your subscription.
• Invitation Bonuses: Earn 100 credits for every friend who signs up through your invite link and creates their first figure within 30 days, up to 10 successful invites (1,000 credits total). Invited friends receive 250 day-one credits (100 signup + 100 invitation bonus + 50 day-one check-in). The signup credits and invitation bonus expire 30 days after being granted; check-in credits expire the same UTC day (resets at 00:00 UTC). Full program details in Q7 below.
• Deduction Order: Credits with the earliest expiry are used first. Paid subscription and pack credits never expire. Rewards retain their own validity periods.

Most tools have one fixed price; figures and AI edits are priced by the image model you use.

• SciFig AI Illustration: 50 credits per figure in any mode on GPT Image 2 or Nano Banana, 75 on Nano Banana 2.1, and 100 on Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Flare or GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst. Each AI edit (Quick Edit, Text Edit, White Background, Aspect Ratio, Recolor) costs the same as its model. Region Redraw always runs on Nano Banana Pro and costs 100 (paid plans and credit packs only).
• Upscale: 2K costs 50 credits, 4K costs 100 (Starter and up), 8K costs 150 (Plus and up).
• Vector Export: 150 credits converts a figure for the Vector Canvas editor, SVG and editable PPTX — charged once per figure and shared by all three. Paid plans and credit packs only.
• SciFig DataChart: 100 credits per generation or revision, however many chart types you pick. Data upload, statistics and file downloads are free.
• SciFig FlowChart: 100 credits per generation or AI edit. Manual editing, saving and exporting are free.
• Failed Tasks: If a task delivers nothing, its credits go back to your balance automatically.

• What You Earn: 100 credits for every friend who signs up through your unique invite link and creates their first figure within 30 days, capped at 10 successful invites (1,000 credits total).
• What They Receive: Invited researchers get 250 day-one credits — 100 signup bonus + 100 invitation bonus + 50 day-one check-in — to evaluate generation in the workspaces before subscribing. Every paid plan and credit pack adds vector SVG export for SciFig AI Illustration and SciFig DataChart.
• Credit Validity: The 100 signup credits and 100 invitation bonus expire 30 days after they are granted; check-in credits expire at the next 00:00 UTC. Paid subscription and purchased pack credits never expire.
• Anti-Abuse Protection: We detect self-invites, duplicate accounts, and shared IPs; credits only land when a genuinely new researcher activates.
• Get Your Link: Visit the Invitation dashboard once you're signed in to copy your unique invite link.

Your subscription keeps renewing at the price you signed up at — price changes only apply to new subscriptions.

• Why Prices Change: We keep adding features and upgrading to more capable models (Nano Banana 2/pro), and we adjust our plans as the product grows. Any adjustment is paired with capability added, never taken away.
• Existing Subscriptions Keep Their Price and Credits: Monthly or annual, your subscription auto-renews at its original price with the same monthly credits for as long as it stays active — even after our public prices change, including when a current plan costs less but includes fewer credits. There's nothing you need to do.
• Changing Plans Moves You to Current Pricing: Upgrading, downgrading or switching between monthly and annual starts the new plan at its current price.
• Canceling and Coming Back: If you cancel and change your mind before the current period ends, resume your subscription and your original price stays. Once the subscription has ended, a new one is billed at the current price.

Yes — upgrade anytime, and you only pay the difference.

• Upgrade to a Higher Tier Anytime: Move from Starter → Plus → Pro whenever you need more. The change takes effect immediately, the cost is prorated so you only pay for the days left in your current cycle, and the extra monthly credits land in your balance right away.
• Switch Monthly → Annual to Save: On Plus or Pro you can switch from monthly to annual mid-cycle. Your unused monthly time is credited toward the annual price, you lock in the lower annual rate (up to 40% off on Pro), and your next renewal becomes yearly — your current period-end stays the same. Starter monthly includes more monthly credits than Starter yearly, so it can't switch to Starter yearly — choose Plus or Pro yearly instead. If you're on an earlier plan whose monthly credits are higher than the new annual plan's, that switch isn't offered — choose a higher tier instead so your credits don't go down.
• See the Exact Amount First: Before you confirm, you'll see the prorated amount due. Downgrades and annual → monthly changes aren't available mid-cycle — they take effect after your current period ends, so your paid features stay stable.

Yes — within 7 days of a payment, if you've used 10% or less of the credits that came with it.

• How Much: 90% of the amount you actually paid, after any discount. We keep 10% to cover payment processing. An education discount used on that order is not restored.
• What Counts as Used: Every credit spent after the payment counts — daily credits, sign-up and invitation bonuses, plan credits and credit-pack credits alike.
• The 10% Limit: Monthly plans: 10% of that month's credits. Yearly plans: 10% of one month's credits, because yearly plans are credited monthly — and the refund is 90% of the yearly amount you paid. Credit packs: 10% of the pack's credits.
• Published or Commercially Used Figures: If you have already used those figures in a paper, poster or product, don't request a refund.
• What Else Ends: The refunded plan stops immediately, and any unused credits from that payment are removed.
• How to Request: Email hello@scifig.ai from the account you paid with. Credits for failed generations come back automatically — no request needed.

You can cancel renewal at any time.

• Saved work: Canceling renewal does not itself delete your account or saved projects.
• Top-Up Credits Never Expire: Any credits from purchased packs stay in your account permanently — use them anytime, including months or years after canceling.
• Subscription Credits After Cancellation: Paid subscription credits never expire and unused credits roll over, even after cancellation. You own the scientific figures you generate with SciFig and can use them for publication and commercial purposes. SciFig claims no ownership of your figures.
