- Subscribe the Moment You Need to Present or Publish: When a presentation, conference submission, or manuscript deadline arrives, upgrade in one click to unlock full publication and commercial rights — every figure you produce from that point on is yours to use freely.

- No Card Required: You can evaluate the workflow without entering payment details.
- Upgrade When You Need More: Starter begins at $18/month (or $12/month on annual, saving 33%) when you need recurring credits, advanced modes (Sketch, Reference, PDF, Photo), higher-resolution upscales, and publication-ready usage rights.

- Freelancer Reality: Custom scientific illustrations cost $200–$400 each and take 3–7 days per revision cycle. For a 10-figure paper, that's $2K+ and a month.
- SciFig Math: Same quality, fraction of one credit pack, minutes per iteration. Labs with 10+ figures per paper save thousands per manuscript.
- Revisions Are Free: Illustrators charge per revision. SciFig revisions cost zero — click, edit, done.

Multiple credit sources, one clear consumption order.
- Sign-Up Bonus (one-time): 150 credits granted at registration. They never reset and stay in your account.
- Daily Refresh: Free tier gets 50 refresh credits every 24 hours; paid Starter / Plus / Pro plans get 100 every 24 hours instead. Daily refresh credits are valid for one day only and reset at 00:00 UTC.
- Subscription Credits: Starter / Plus / Pro include a monthly credit allowance on top of daily refresh. Unused subscription credits do not roll over — they're cleared when the next billing cycle starts.
- Top-Up Packs: Buy a credit pack any time for extra capacity. Purchased credits never expire and remain in your account even if you cancel your subscription.
- Invitation Bonuses: Earn 200 credits for every friend who signs up through your invite link, up to 10 successful invites (2,000 credits total). Invited friends receive 400 day-one credits (150 signup + 200 invitation bonus + 50 daily refresh). The signup credits and invitation bonus expire 30 days after being granted; the 50 daily refresh expires the same UTC day (resets at 00:00 UTC). Full program details in Q6 below.
- Deduction Order: Credits with the earliest expiry are used first; non-expiring top-up credits are used last.

Yes — up to 2,000 bonus credits through our invitation program.
- What You Earn: 200 credits for every friend who signs up through your unique invite link, capped at 10 successful invites (2,000 credits total).
- What They Receive: Invited researchers get 400 day-one credits — 150 signup bonus + 200 invitation bonus + 50 daily refresh — enough to run the full workflow end-to-end before deciding to subscribe.
- Credit Validity: The 150 signup credits and 200 invitation bonus expire 30 days after being granted; the 50 daily refresh expires the same day. Top-up credits you purchase never expire, and subscription credits follow their own cycle (see Q5 above).
- Anti-Abuse Protection: We detect self-invites, duplicate accounts, and shared IPs; credits only land when a genuinely new researcher activates.
- Get Your Link: Visit the Invitation dashboard once you're signed in to copy your unique invite link.

Annual plans lock your price for 12 months; monthly plans stay flexible, with a window to lock in before any change.
- Why Prices May Rise: We keep adding features and upgrading to more capable models (Nano Banana 2/pro). Any pricing adjustment reflects the real cost of the engines running your figures — it's paired with capability added, never taken away.
- Annual Plans Are Locked for 12 Months: Buy an annual plan and your per-month rate is fixed for the full term — even if we raise public pricing mid-year. At renewal, the then-current rate applies, with 30 days of advance notice before it kicks in.
- Monthly Plans Stay Flexible — With an Escape Hatch: Monthly subscriptions bill at the public rate each cycle. Before any price change, existing monthly subscribers get 30 days' advance email notice. During that window you can cancel anytime, or upgrade to an annual plan at your current monthly rate to lock it in for 12 more months — no surprise hikes, ever.

Yes — upgrade anytime, and you only pay the difference.
- Upgrade to a Higher Tier Anytime: Move from Starter → Plus → Pro whenever you need more. The change takes effect immediately, the cost is prorated so you only pay for the days left in your current cycle, and the extra monthly credits land in your balance right away.
- Switch Monthly → Annual to Save: On any tier you can switch from monthly to annual mid-cycle. Your unused monthly time is credited toward the annual price, you lock in the lower annual rate (up to 33% off on Starter), and your next renewal becomes yearly — your current period-end stays the same.
- See the Exact Amount First: Before you confirm, you'll see the prorated amount due. Downgrades and annual → monthly changes aren't available mid-cycle — they take effect after your current period ends, so your paid features stay stable.
9.
Yes, subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle. However, you can cancel at any time — you'll keep access until the current cycle ends.
10.
First-time paid subscriptions may qualify for a refund. Renewals, plan upgrades, and credit-pack purchases are non-refundable.
- Eligibility Window: Request the refund within 7 days of the original subscription purchase.
- Usage Threshold: The subscription must have used less than 10% of its included credits.
- One-Time Limit: Each user, account, and device is eligible for one refund only.
- Credit Packs Excluded: Top-up credit packs cannot be refunded once purchased.

Yes — on every paid plan. Free plans are for evaluation only.
- Paid Plan = Full Rights: Top-up, monthly, annual — every paid plan gives full publication rights (peer-reviewed journals, preprints, theses) and full commercial rights (textbooks, products, courses, consulting).
- Zero Ownership Claim from Us: SciFig doesn't claim ownership of your figures, doesn't take a usage license, doesn't reserve the right to feature your work. Your figure, your name on it.
- Free Tier Is Evaluation-Only: *(Note: Free credits let you test every feature, but figures generated on the free tier are for non-commercial evaluation. Upgrade to any paid plan before publishing or selling.)*
